FOX Does Its Annual January Shuffle

Remember how I always tell you not to write FOX’s mid-season schedule in pen because it’s bound to change? Well, here’s why…

But get out your pens now because you’re going to need to write this stuff down to keep track…

“House” will move to Mondays at 8 p.m. beginning January 19th as the lead-in to “24,” which premieres January 11th and 12th. “Fringe” will remain on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. following “American Idol.”

There had been some speculation that “Idol” would move to Wednesdays and Thursdays to keep FOX from splitting up their successful Tuesday nights. But this move should give FOX two strong nights and it’s fantastic for “24,” which you guys know is all I really care about…

“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” will move to Fridays at 8 p.m. beginning February 13th as a lead-in to the new Joss Whedon series “Dollhouse” at 9 p.m. “Prison Break” is absent from the schedule, but FOX says it will return at a later date.

The “American Idol” results show will shift to Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and will lead in to the new drama “Lie to Me” about the world’s most renowned deception expert. “’Til Death” is also missing from the schedule and will return “at a later date.” I’m hoping it will return at 8:30 or else the “Idol” results show will remain an hour and I don’t think any of us wants that.

“Bones” will move to Thursdays at 8 p.m. beginning January 15th leading into “Kitchen Nightmares” and later “Hell’s Kitchen.”

“Hole In the Wall” moves to Sundays at 7 p.m beginning January 18th…

Got all that?...
