NBC Officially Announces Its Schedule

NBC has officially released its 2011-2012 fall schedule today.

The season's new dramas are “Smash,” “Prime Suspect,” “The Playboy Club,” “Awake,” “Grimm” and “The Firm.” The new comedies are “Up All Night,” “Whitney,” “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” “Free Agents,” “Best Friends Forever” and “Bent.”

Returning shows are “Parenthood,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Harry’s Law,” “Chuck,” “Community,” “Parks and Recreation,” “The Office,” “30 Rock” “Dateline NBC,” “The Voice,” “The Sing-Off,” “The Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Biggest Loser.”

I think the schedule looks pretty good, except I think the network might be relying a little too much on two-hour reality shows.

“30 Rock” fans, don’t panic. The show will return mid-season. “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea,” “Bent” “Best Friends Forever” and “Awake” are all on the bench for now as well.

The press release also confirmed that this will be the final season of “Chuck” and that it will only run 13 episodes.
