Report: NBC Picks Up Three More Pilots
From May 12, 2011:
I’m starting to think the new guy in charge at NBC may be on to something here…
First, Bob Greenblatt renewed “Chuck.” Then he passed on “Wonder Woman.” And now he’s picked up some very interesting pilots…
“The Hollywood Reporter” is reporting that NBC picked up three more pilots today—all dramas: “The Playboy Club” about Playboy bunnies in the 60s, “Awake” from Howard Gordon (“24”), which some are comparing to “Inception,” and “Grimm,” a dark cop show set in a world where Brothers Grimm fairy tale characters exist .
The report says NBC has also renewed “Parenthood” and “Harry’s Law.”
You have to admit that the pilots picked up so far are gutsy and the renewals are smart. Could Greenblatt be NBC’s knight in shining armor?
