Sherri Shepherd Finally Gets To See "The View"

Several media outlets are now reporting that Sherri Shepherd has finally been given her seat on “The View.”

Barbara Walters will make the announcement on the show Monday.

As you may recall, Shepherd was the first choice to fill Star Jones’ chair, but negotiations broke down over the money it would take for Shepherd to move her family. Kathy Griffin was reportedly the runner-up (Okay, Bravo, what are you waiting for?).

The announcement comes one week after Whoopi Goldberg began her stint on the show. Goldberg’s debut was not without controversy as she angered PETA officials by taking a seemingly sympathetic stance toward Michael Vick.
