May Sweeps--What to Watch This Weekend

So after this week’s last-minute move by ABC, I will preface this list with “schedule subject to change.”

Friday, “Reba” wraps up its fifth season at 9 p.m. on WB…Jerry O’Connell guests as his “Crossing Jordan” character, Woody, on “Las Vegas” and Spongebob Squarepants serves up a new episode at 7 p.m. on Nickelodeon…“Ghost Whisperer wraps up its successful first season with the conclusion of its two-part season finale at 8 p.m. on CBS…

Saturday, we get the fastest two minutes in sports (with the hour-long build-up); the Kentucky Derby at 5 p.m. on NBC…“Saturday Night Live” brings us a new episode with host Tom Hanks (for the 8th time) and musical guest Red Hot Chili Peppers…“Justice League Unlimited” begins its series finale (concluding next Saturday) at 10:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network. If you enjoy well-written cartoons in the spirit of “Batman: The Animated Series,” don’t miss this one…

Sunday, TBS gives us a three-hour “Seinfeld” marathon beginning at 8 p.m. with my favorite episode of all time with guest star Keith Hernandez…Jim J. Bullock and Carrot Top guest star on “Family Guy” (9 p.m., FOX)…“Crossing Jordan” wraps up its fifth season with Jordan waking up in bed with an ex-boyfriend. Problem is, he’s dead…Whoopi Goldberg guests on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” as does S. Epatha Merkerson as her “Law & Order” character, Lt. Van Buren. Guess she’s coming to tell Logan (Chris Noth) hi…Also at 9 on Bravo, it’s a special “Law & Order” version of “Inside the Actors Studio” with Merkerson, Noth, Christopher Meloni (“Law & Order: SVU”) and Dick Wolf (the creator of all things “L&O”). Who were the ad wizards that decided to schedule this against an episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”?...And, of course, "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" are all new beginning at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Coming up Monday…David Blaine tries not to drown and the “Break” FINALLY begins. No joke…
