"Roseanne's Nuts" Review: Huh?
Did you ever watch a show and when it was over, you wondered what in the world it was actually about?
That’s what happened with me when I watched the premiere episode of “Roseanne’s Nuts”…
“Nuts” is a reality show that follows the new life of Roseanne Barr. She’s moved to Hawaii, where she owns a nut farm. Joining her is longtime boyfriend Johnny Argent.
In the premiere, Roseanne’s son, Jake, visits while Roseanne is in the middle of a problem with the wild pigs that roam the island. She talks a big game, but when she finally finds a way to get rid of them, she won’t let the hunters kill the pigs. Instead, she decides talking with the pigs is the way to go.
And that’s the problem with this show—Roseanne is all talk. Numerous times she tells us that she’s done with Hollywood and despises everything it stands for, but as her son astutely points out, she’s surrounded by cameras while she’s filming a reality show. And she still expects us to believe she’s left Hollywood behind?
It doesn’t help that Roseanne is just as foul-mouthed as ever and I personally think Lifetime is above constant bleeping.
I have never liked Roseanne and this show does nothing to change my opinion. However, it might slightly change my opinion about Lifetime…
“Roseanne’s Nuts” premieres with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, July 13th at 9 p.m. on Lifetime…
