Get Ready to Return to Southfork...
It looks like we’ll be returning to Southfork after all…
TNT has greenlighted “Dallas.” The show will focus on cousins John Ross Ewing (Josh Henderson) and Christopher Ewing (Jesse Metcalfe). Fans of the show remember that John Ross is the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen, while Christopher was adopted by Bobby and Pam.
Larry Hagman (J.R.), Patrick Duffy (Bobby) and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) will all appear, though there’s no word on how many of the 10 episodes they will appear in.
The show also stars Jordana Brewster as Elena, who forms the third part of a love triangle with John Ross and Christopher. Brenda Strong, who narrates “Desperate Housewives” as Mary Alice, will play Ann, Bobby’s wife.
The show will premiere in Summer 2012, but TNT will unveil a sneak peek tonight during the season premieres of “The Closer” and “Rizzoli & Isles.” You can also see sneak peeks on the show’s website.
Normally, I’m opposed to messing with iconic 80s shows, but I actually have some faith in this one because the premise makes sense and it’s TNT. And if you haven’t heard, they know drama…
