More Leno Rumors

Add another name to the list of people interested in Jay Leno when he leaves “The Tonight Show” in 2009…

The “New York Times” reports that Sony Pictures Television has joined ABC and FOX on the list, but none of them can officially negotiate with him until November 2009.

The paper reports that Sony has made it known that it will offer Jay a syndicated gig that would make him the highest-paid host in late-night TV.

NBC says it intends to develop a new program for Jay. If that doesn’t work out (and I hope it doesn’t), Jay cannot appear on another network until 2010.

I, for one, would be happy to wait for him…
