NBC Makes Some Moves...
Here’s a round-up of scheduling announcements NBC made during Press Tour today…
In November, NBC will present “Green Is Universal,” a week-long campaign of shows across NBC-Universal’s platforms adopting environmental themes…
“Chuck” will now lead off Monday nights, replacing “Deal Or No Deal.” So much for that “no scripted shows at 8 p.m.” mantra…
“The Singing Bee,” which was originally scheduled to rotate Friday nights with “1 vs. 100,” has moved to Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. This is an interesting move considering “Bee” has only aired once (though to really good ratings)…
“The Biggest Loser” will now be expanded to 90 minutes to fill the Tuesday gap left by the departure of “Chuck.” Interestingly, “Loser” is produced by NBC co-chair Ben Silverman’s production company…
“Deal or No Deal” is moving to Fridays at 8 p.m., followed by “Friday Night Lights,” which has now switched places with “Las Vegas.” Personally, I think moving “Deal,” one of NBC’s few proven hits, is a big mistake…
Uri Gellar and Criss Angel will team up for “Phenomenon,” a reality show searching for the “next great mental”…
Sitcom legend Norman Lear (“All in the Family”) will produce a one-hour comedy that focuses on “a battle of the sexes”…
Jerry Seinfeld will guest as himself on the second-season premiere of “30 Rock” October 4th…
NBC’s fall line-up will kickoff September 24th…
