It looks like the much-promised second “The X-Files” movie is finally going to happen…
David Duchovny told “USA Today” during the Press Tour (He’s promoting his new Showtime show.), “I think we’re going to do a movie in the fall. I’m actually supposed to get a script next week.” The script was written by “X-Files” creator Chris Carter and longtime “X-Files” writer Frank Spotnick. Carter will direct the film.

Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are both committed to the project which Duchovny expects to begin shooting in November. The first movie, released in 1998, grossed nearly $190 million worldwide.
