It’s never a good sign when a show has its episode order cut. But it’s an even worse sign when a show has its episode order cut before it even airs…

That’s the case for the NBC show, “Love Bites.” “The Hollywood Reporter” reports that the order has been cut from 13 to 9 episodes.

The article says that the reason was to make room for other midseason shows, but I wouldn’t be so sure…

According to NBC, “Bites” is “an hour-long romantic comedy anthology series featuring three, loosely-connected, modern stories of love, sex, marriage and dating. Each of the multiple vignettes will involve an array of talented guest stars every week and will illuminate the theme of love with a fresh, irreverent spin.”

It stars Becki Newton, Greg Grunberg and Constance Zimmer. No premiere date has been set…
