Spike TV Names a Surprise Video Game Awards Host
Saturday, Spike TV will air its annual Video Game Awards. Since Spike prides itself in being the macho network, I was a little surprised at who will be hosting the awards this year…
None other than NPH—Neil Patrick Harris.
Now, I adore NPH and he’s a fantastic host. It’s just that when I hear Spike TV Video Game Awards, his is not the first name that comes to mind
In case you’re wondering the connection, NPH did voice Amazing Spider-Man in the hottest superhero game of the year, “Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions.”
Also scheduled to appear are Dane Cook, Chris Hemsworth (the “Thor: God of Thunder” game), Tony Hawk and cast members from “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.”
The show will also feature 13 world premieres of games scheduled to release in 2011 and beyond.
The Video Game Awards air live on Spike TV Saturday, December 11th at 8 p.m…
