The annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon is getting a huge makeover…
According to the AP, the 20+ hour telethon will be reduced to a six-hour program beginning in 2011.
“TV Week” reported today that the telethon is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th from 6 p.m.-Midnight. An MDA spokesman told the AP that organizers are hoping the shortened format will allow them to get more viewers and donations, as well as bigger performers.
