Pilot Watch: Will "Cavemen" See the Light of Day?

One of the dumbest ideas for a comedy pilot I have ever heard is ABC’s “Cavemen,” which is based on the GEICO cavemen ads.

And those who have seen it say the pilot is as dumb as the idea. I sincerely hope that ABC isn’t dumb enough to give this one a pickup. I still can’t believe they greenlighted a pilot…

By the way, the pilot features only a cameo by John Lehr, who plays the main caveman in the GEICO ads. He was unable to do the pilot because of his commitment to “10 Items or Less,” the TBS comedy he stars in and executive produces.
