Picks of the Week: A "Friend" Gets "Dirt"y and Mick Jagger Gets Robbed

This week’s picks couldn’t be more different…

First, on Tuesday, it’s the return of Courteney Cox to television with the new FX series, “Dirt.” Cox plays an unscrupulous tabloid editor. Since this is airing Tuesdays at 10 on FX, the home of “Nip/Tuck,” “The Shield,” and “Rescue Me,” look for something as far from Monica Gellar as you can get. “Dirt,” which Cox is executive producing along with her husband David, premieres tonight (Tuesday) at 10 pm. on FX…

Then on Wednesday, one of the season’s most critically acclaimed comedies finally finds its way to the screen. “The Knights of Prosperity” stars Donal Logue as an everyday guy who concocts a plan with his friends to rob Mick Jagger. The show was originally called “Let’s Rob Mick Jagger,” but since Jagger only appears in the pilot, the show’s title was changed. Other celebrities will appear during the season, including Kelly Ripa. I hope they rob her blind. “The Knights of Prosperity” premieres Wednesday, January 6th at 9 p.m. on ABC…
