A Groggy Morning

So I’m kind of running on fumes this morning, but it was so worth it.

Did anyone else stay up and watch that amazing game last night/this morning? WOW! That was one of the best games I have ever seen. Go Broncos!

Kudos to Thom Brennaman for his excellent call. FOX didn’t really surround him with the best people (Note to Charles Davis: The audience doesn’t like it when you say I told you so.), but they absolutely made the right choice in making him the lead announcer. His comment that last night’s game was an argument for a playoff system couldn’t have been more right on (“Why not give the Boise States a shot at the Ohio States?”)—ignoring that he was sort of biting the hand that feeds him. No wonder the Reds bent over backwards to get him back to Cincinnati. You can hear his calls for yourself at http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6325872.

A slight jeer, though, to Chris Meyers for giving away that Boise State’s Ian Johnson was going to propose to his girlfriend before Johnson did it. It was still a pretty good moment, however.

And this was just the first BCS game. What’s to come?
