"The X Factor" Drama: Simon Speaks!

In an interview, with the Associated Press, Simon Cowell says he removed Cheryl Cole from the US version of “The X Factor” because it would be “beneficial to her.”

Simon told the AP that negotiations were underway to get Cole back on the UK version when the news leaked and her side stopped negotiating. Simon said he then tried to get Cheryl back on the US version, but she wasn’t interested in that either.
