What Will The CW Update Next?

Proving The CW has no more original ideas, it announced today that it has picked up a pilot updating “La Femme Nikita.”

You may recall that “Nikita” was a French film that was made into the US film, “Point of No Return,” that was later made into the TV show “La Femme Nikita,” which ran for five seasons on USA.

It has our old pal McG, behind it, so it’s guaranteed to be a rip-roaring action fest, but it’s still a bummer, because “Nikita” was the show that first introduced us to the team of Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow, who went on to create “24.” And since they’ll have nothing to do with this one, I kind of wish they would have just left it alone…

And you have to wonder what The CW will update next? I shudder at the thought…
