Collinsworth Takes Home Another Emmy

Remember when I said back during football season that I was concerned that giving Tiki Barber such a high profile on “Football Night in America” would cost my guy Cris Collinsworth another Studio Analyst Emmy?

Well, guess what. I was right…

Collinsworth lost out to Terry Bradshaw (FOX) and Tom Jackson (ESPN) when the Sports Emmys were handed out last week.

However, Cris did pick up his second Emmy for Sports Event Analyst for his work on the NFL Network games and the one game he did on NBC. Of course, that robbed John Madden of an Emmy in his last attempt, but don’t blame Cris, Madden fans. Blame Tiki Barber.

In case you’re curious, Jim Nantz (CBS) won for play-by-play and Bob Costas reclaimed the Studio Host award for his work during the Olympics.
