"You get the best of both worlds..."

When Hilary Duff walked away (or was dragged away by her mom) from the “Lizzie McGuire” franchise, Disney had to have been a little worried about finding a replacement.

It looks like they’ve found her.

The soundtrack to “Hannah Montana” debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week after selling 281,000 copies. It’s the biggest debut for a soundtrack since 2005’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”

For those of you who don’t have a tween in the house, “Hannah Montana” is the Disney Channel smash starring Miley Cyrus, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, as Miley Stewart, a seemingly normal 14-year-old girl with a whopper of a secret: She’s actually singing superstar Hannah Montana. Billy Ray plays her father and manager.

The soundtrack features “Hannah” performing “The Best of Both Worlds” and other tracks from the show. There are also songs from Jesse McCartney and Click 5. But the real gem here is a duet by Miley and her dad, “I Learned From You.” It’s a sweet song about a daughter learning from her father and it may make you a little misty. I think Disney should put aside the Hannah character and release this one as a country single. You can hear a snippet at http://disney.go.com/disneyrecords/soundtracks/hannahmontana.

If you’re thinking of buying the soundtrack as a gift for your own little rock star, “Hannah Montana: Livin’ the Rock Star Life!” a DVD featuring four episodes of the show (including one never-before-seen), would make a great companion gift. The DVD also includes behind-the-scenes footage and Miley’s audition tape.

But if you just want to give the show a look, you can tune in this Friday, November 3rd for “Fan-tastic Friday” on the Disney Channel. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., you can catch four episodes of “Hannah,” followed by the phenomenon, “High School Musical.” Another episode of “Hannah” airs at 10:30 p.m.
