An NBC Affiliate Rejects "The Playboy Club"
“The Playboy Club” is one of NBC’s most exciting prospects for the fall. But one affiliate has deemed it too exciting…
Variety.com is reporting that KSL-TV in Salt Lake City issued a statement today saying the station intends to replace “Club” with a different show. However, the station president said it would work with NBC on making the show available on another station.
KSL is owned by Deseret Media, which is controlled by the Mormon Church. The station also refused to air “Coupling” in 2003 and “God, the Devil and Bob” in 2000.
