Picks of the Week: A Flashback and a New Fave
You’ve no doubt noticed that my Pick of the Week has taken a few weeks off.
But there’s no better time to bring it back than for May sweeps, when there’s a plethora of great stuff to choose from. In fact, so much great stuff, I had to go with two Picks this week…
The relationship between DiNozzo and Gibbs is a big part of what makes “NCIS” work. In this week’s episode, we get to see their very first meeting when DiNozzo was a Baltimore cop. The flashback occurs because DiNozzo’s old partner becomes the latest victim of the Port-to-Port Killer.

It’s very rare for me to fall so head-over-heels for a show so quickly, but that’s what’s happened with the new FOX comedy, “Breaking In.” If you’ve never seen it, it shows the misadventures of Contra Security, a company that tests clients’ security systems for weaknesses. It stars the adorable Bret Harrison and Christian Slater at his most hilarious.
This week, the gang must go undercover at Comic Con to protect the only copy of the sequel to “The Goonies.” And since “Breaking” is a pretty geeky show, there will no doubt be a lot of fun stuff for “Goonies” fans to enjoy.
