Jamie Oliver Faces Stiff Opposition in His "Revolution"

E! Online is reporting that Jamie Oliver is facing some serious opposition to his second season of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution”…

According to the website, Oliver’s plan was to do the same thing in L.A. schools that he did in Huntington schools. But executive producer Ryan Seacrest (who works for E!) received a letter from the Los Angeles Unified School District that basically said thanks but no thanks.

E! quoted the letter saying, “While we appreciate your interest in our school meal program, we believe our direct work with nutrition experts, health advocates, the community, schools and students is the most effective strategy for our continued success and improvement.”

The Los Angeles Times” goes more in-depth and interestingly quotes Melissa Infusino, the director of partnerships in the L.A. Unified superintendent's office, as saying she got “no comment” from Huntington officials when she asked them about their experience.

Hmmm…

E! says the show is now scrambling for a backup location.
