"CSI: Miami" Finale: Points for Creativity
So I have no idea who that Ivan guy was and why he was important to the story.
And I still don’t quite understand that whole thing with Erik and his father, but I have to give “CSI: Miami” points for creativity with its cliffhanger tonight…
Warning: If you have not yet seen the season finale of “CSI: Miami,” stop reading now…
Although Calleigh warned him not to go see his father, who was an accessory to a murder of a police officer, Erik did anyway and tried to convince his father to find a way out of the Russian mob.
The next we saw of Erik, he was driving his father through a shootout between the mob and police, as Calleigh, his girlfriend, was shooting at him. When Calleigh realized it was Erik, she stopped shooting.
But did she stop soon enough?
At the end of the episode, Horatio and Tripp found the car Erik was driving, but Erik was nowhere to be found. His father was unconscious in the passenger seat, and when he came to, he told them he didn’t know where Erik was.
When Calleigh ran up on the scene, she yelled at Erik’s father to tell her if she hit Erik with a bullet, but he said he didn’t know. He just knew that Erik was bleeding and that he lost control of the car and that was the last thing he remembered.
The episode ended with Calleigh walking away from the scene in tears, followed by a dramatic Horatio pose as the camera swept over the swamp.
In all honesty, I don’t know how the show is going to get out of this one. But you can bet it probably won’t make much sense and it will probably be extremely cheesy.
And that’s just the way I like it…
