TBS To "Meet the Browns"

The hardest working man in show business is adding another show to his resume…

TBS announced yesterday that Tyler Perry will be bringing “Meet the Browns” to the network beginning in January 2009. Perry will be the executive producer and director, as well as a writer for the show.

“Browns” will star David Mann as Leroy Brown, a character who first appeared in Perry’s film, “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns.”

TBS has already struck gold with “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne,” which the network calls ad-supported cable’s #1 sitcom of all time.
