Spend an Evening With The Joker

As if we need one more thing to get us excited about “The Dark Knight”…

Jetix (which is part of Toon Disney) is giving us a “Batman: The Animated Series” marathon of episodes featuring The Joker.

First up is “Christmas with the Joker,” in which Robin’s dream of spending Christmas watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” is preempted by The Joker’s own deranged Christmas special.

In “The Last Laugh,” The Joker unleashes a lethal gas on Gotham City that could drive its citizens mad—including Batman’s butler, Alfred.

The mayor’s son runs away from home in “Be a Clown” and ends up being a pawn in The Joker’s game against Batman.

Things get ominous in “Joker’s Favor” when The Joker forces mild-mannered Charlie Collins to do him a favor or else.

In “The Laughing Fish,” The Joker hatches one of his wildest schemes ever as he seeks to get a patent on his “Joker fish.” This one features one of the creepiest scenes in “Batman: TAS” history as a cat infected by The Joker’s toxin goes after Batman.

The marathon concludes with “Joker’s Wild,” in which a Gotham City businessman builds a casino inspired by The Joker.

These six episodes not only give you a chance to see the genius of “Batman: The Animated Series,” but also the genius of Mark Hamill who is brilliant as the voice of The Joker. And you already know what a huge fan I am of Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman.

The Batman vs. The Joker Marathon begins Friday, July 18th at 7 p.m. on Jetix on Toon Disney…
