Did "The Two Coreys" Pull One Over on Warner Bros?
In the second episode of “The Two Coreys,” Corey Feldman is forced to tell Corey Haim that they are making a sequel to “The Lost Boys” and that they wanted Feldman but not Haim. Because Haim views that movie as “the best time of his life,” he breaks down. You can see the clip here…
Well now comes news that the Coreys have gotten their wish. Shocktillyoudrop.com is reporting that both Coreys—and Jamison Newlander—are doing the sequel.
After the episode aired and received A LOT of online buzz, Feldman was quoted as saying that Warner Bros. was still interested in him for the movie, but he wouldn’t do it without Haim. And now we hear this.
So did the Coreys stage this scene hoping to get Haim in the sequel or was this all an elaborate way to promote the sequel?
I’m hoping for the first one, because you’ve got to admit it’s pretty clever. However, considering how bad this movie is going to be (It is direct-to-DVD after all.), I’m not sure it was worth the effort.
So who’s going to play the bad guy in this one? Shocktillyoudrop.com reports the main vampire will be played by Angus Sutherland. Just a name coincidence? I wish. He’s Kiefer’s half-brother…
Which to me signals that they intend for this vampire to have some sort of connection to Kiefer’s David, maybe even be David himself…
And that will make me cry…
UPDATE: RT, my second favorite Canadian, has tried to qualm my fears by pointing out to me that Angus, pictured here with his father, Donald, doesn't really look all that much like Kiefer. But I've still got to believe Warner Bros. is up to something here--even if it's just trying to cash in on the Sutherland name.
