Pick of the Week: No Big Surprise

This week’s Pick of the Week is a no-brainer, and shouldn’t be a big surprise to anybody. It’s “High School Musical 2,” which debuts this weekend on Disney Channel.

There are three chances to watch: Friday, August 17th at 8 p.m., Saturday, August 18th at 8 p.m., and Sunday, August 18th at 8 p.m. (the sing-along version).

To stir up the hype, Disney is doing “Rockin’ Movies Week”:

Monday at 8 p.m., it’s “Stuck in the Suburbs,” starring Danielle Panabaker as a girl who meets a pop superstar after she ends up with his PDA…

Tuesday at 8 p.m., it’s “Cheetah Girls 2,” the sing-along version…

Wednesday at 8 p.m., it’s “Jump In!” starring Corbin Bleu as a young boxer who discovers a knack for double-dutch…

Thursday at 8 p.m., it’s the sing-along version of the movie that started it all, “High School Musical”…

Then, Friday at 8 p.m., it’s the premiere of “High School Musical 2” followed by a sneak preview of the new Disney Channel show “Phineas and Herb” (10:05 p.m.) and a new episode of “Hannah Montana” guest starring the Jonas Brothers (10:20 p.m.)…

If you miss it on Friday, you can see it Saturday at 8 p.m. and the sing-along version Sunday at 8 p.m…
