"Jericho" Is Saved, But What Now?
As I suspected, “Jericho” was a popular topic at Press Tour last week…
At the “Jericho” panel, CBS gave each of the critics a bag of peanuts and a “Save Jericho” t-shirt; and everyone on the panel showed nothing but gratitude for the fans that saved the show.
The fans can expect some changes, however. The writers had originally planned for part of season two to be set in New York; but because it’s just seven episodes, the show will be “lean and mean” and “focus on just a couple of people.” The main focus will be on Hawkins and Jake trying to save the world.
The producers do promise that all of last season’s cliffhangers “will be paid off” by the end of the season premiere.
As for last season, the producers said that it was always their plan for Johnston (Gerald McRaney) to die so Jake could become the leader. Season one will be released on DVD October 2nd…
CBS did not give an indication of when “Jericho” will premiere…
