Sweeps Schedule: Week of February 5th

This week’s sweeps schedule features A LOT of special guest appearances and music’s biggest night…

CBS has named tonight (February 5th) “Super Monday,” and they’re not kidding. At 8 p.m., “How I Met Your Mother” features a guest spot by Emmitt Smith, followed by Jerry Rice on “The Class.” At 9 p.m., Brooke Shields guests on “Two and a Half Men” and at 9:30 p.m., it’s the premiere of “Rules of Engagement” starring David Spade, Patrick Warburton and Oliver Hudson as a single, married, and engaged guy, respectively. Then CBS’s big night concludes at 10 with a main character getting shot on “CSI: Miami,” but if you’ve watched the commercials closely, you know who it is…

On ABC, see how the rich and famous do it with “In Style Celebrity Weddings” (10 p.m.) and on FOX, Michael and Sarah reunite (or at least that’s what the promos show us) on “Prison Break” (8 p.m.). Lifetime presents the next in its series of Nora Roberts movies, “Montana Sky,” featuring the return to TV of John Corbett (9 p.m.)…

Tuesday, February 6th, “The Unit” serves up a double episode with Don Rickles guesting in the first hour (8 p.m., CBS). Paul Reubens makes another sweeps guest spot, this time on “Dirt” (10 p.m., FX)…

Wednesday, February 7th, you can get ready for the return of “Lost” with “The Lost Survival Guide” (9 p.m., ABC). “Criminal Minds” finishes its two-parter that began after the Super Bowl (9 p.m., CBS). Grammy nominee Nelly Furtado guest stars on “CSI: NY” (10 p.m., CBS)…

Thursday, February 8th, is another big night for CBS with the premiere of “Survivor: Fiji” (8 p.m.) and the return of William Peterson (Didn’t we just say goodbye?) to “CSI” (9 p.m.). And “The O.C.” shakes things up—literally—in its third-to-last episode (9 p.m., FOX)…

Friday, February 9th, another Grammy nominee, Mary J. Blige, makes a guest spot on “Ghost Whisperer” (8 p.m., CBS). Ricardo Antonio Chavira (“Desperate Housewives”) guests on “Monk” (9 p.m., USA)…

Saturday, February 10th, it’s the return of Disney’s “Kim Possible” with its first new episodes since 2005 (9 p.m., Disney Channel). And gentlemen, start your engines. It’s the first big NASCAR event, the “Budweiser Shootout” (8 p.m., FOX)…

Sunday, February 11th, it’s music’s biggest night, The Grammys, featuring a reunion of The Police (8 p.m., CBS). But ABC has a big night too with a new episode of “Desperate Housewives” (9 p.m.) and Margot Kidder guests on “Brothers & Sisters” (10 p.m.). Andrew Lloyd Webber drops by a two-hour “Grease: The One That I Want,” as we finally find out who got eliminated (7 p.m., NBC). “Crossing Jordan” crosses over with “Las Vegas” (10 p.m., NBC)…
