More Trouble For "The Playboy Club"
NBC’s “The Playboy Club” is garnering a lot of buzz—but it may be the kind the network doesn’t want…
First, NBC’s Salt Lake City affiliate refused to air the show. That issue was resolved when Salt Lake City’s My Network TV affiliate agreed to carry the show, according to TVGuide.com.
Now, FOX News is reporting that the show has been targeted by Pink Cross, an anti-porn foundation and Morality in Media.
Morality in Media has started a website, closetheclubonnbc.com, asking for people to pledge to contact their local affiliates. The argument of both groups is that the show glamorizes pornography and pushes the envelope of broadcast standards regarding sex.
Couldn’t we all just wait until we actually see an episode before we protest?
