NBC Stays In the Olympic Games

When Dick Ebersol walked out the door at NBC Universal, it seemed unlikely that NBC would carry any future Olympics beyond its current obligations.

But NBC announced this week that it oubid ESPN and FOX for the rights to the four Olympic Games scheduled for 2004-2020.

It was believed that one of the reasons Ebersol left was because of Comcast’s penny pinching ways, but clearly they were more invested in the Olympics than was first thought…
