Another Cancelled FOX Animated Show Sees Life
It has happened again. A cancelled show has been resurrected…
Comedy Central announced today that it has ordered 26 new episodes of “Futurama”—more than six years after FOX cancelled it.
The series was brought back due to its “blockbuster performance on DVD and on Comedy Central,” according to the official press release.
The new episodes will be available in mid 2010. According to the release, Twentieth Century Fox retains the option to license the original runs of the new episodes to a broadcast network.
Considering FOX’s track record with cancelled animated shows, I’m thinking there’s hope for “King of the Hill” yet…
