Is the Strike a Done Deal?
The writers’ strike is going to happen. It’s just a matter of when…
Last night, the WGA negotiating committee announced its recommendation for a strike, which received an enthusiastic response from the 3000 guild members in attendance, according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
Now, the WGA West board and the WGA East Council are meeting today to make a final decision, but there’s no doubt that they will okay the strike. WGA members were told to go to work today and wait for a call or e-mail from their strike captain.
The “Reporter” reports the consensus is that the strike will begin Monday.
There is still a chance negotiations will resume, but it’s a slim one considering the nasty talk that’s been going on between the WGA and the studios…
So again I remind you to Stay Tuned…
