Pick of the Week: Who Will Be Left Standing?

I’ve never had HBO, so I’ve never seen an episode of “The Sopranos.”

But to not make the series finale my Pick of the Week would be a huge disservice to you, my loyal readers.

The cancelled “Standoff” finally returns this week to burn off the remainder of its episodes. In case you’ve forgotten, the show stars Ron Livingston and Rosemary DeWitt as FBI hostage negotiators who happen to be sleeping together.

I was never a big fan of this one, but I have to single out this episode since it features a guest appearance by the fabulous Xander Berkeley (Mason, “24”) as this week’s hostage taker.
